Alternative Learning Center Outreach Program
GRADES 9 – 12
This program works with high school students who are secluded from the student body of their schools. Mentors help to build self-esteem and positive attitudes. Students meet with their mentors three to four times each week.
The program is offered at schools or on alternative sites, where students may study.
Ultimately, KAMP Hawai‘i hopes that participants in this particular program share the lessons they have learned by becoming Outdoor Outreach Program mentors to elementary school children, and return to school as productive students.
