KAMP Hawaii put on a mini-day camp at Kaimuki High School on Dec 15 2007. It was a winter break party for the special needs students of Mrs. Tatafu. We started the afternoon off by doing archery. Each student got to shoot several times and the targets were hit multiple times. After that we started to cook using materials that the students had prepared in previous class sessions. We baked cookies in our box oven and cooked bacon, eggs, hamburger paties using tin can stoves and sternos burnners. When all the food was cooked everyone ate a delicious afternoon snack and a good time was had by all.
